What we process, why and for how long

Traffic, next trains, journeys

These features use no personal data. The site queries Île-de-France Mobilités' open data itself: nothing about you is passed on to them. The “Near me” feature uses your location only in your browser, if you allow it: it is never sent to our servers. For bus stops, your browser downloads the list of stops in a square of about 2 km around you (the same list for everyone in that square, cached and never logged by us), then works out the distances itself: only that square is requested, never your exact position. The “Guide me” compass likewise uses your location and your phone's orientation only in your browser; it stops as soon as you close it.

Site language

By default, the site shows up in French or English depending on the language set in your browser (something every browser sends): no geolocation, and nothing is stored until you press FR / EN. Your choice is then kept in the erc_lang cookie.

Audience measurement

Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights measure the site's traffic and speed without cookies, in aggregate (page views, country, device type), with no cross-site tracking. We also keep aggregated internal counters (number of questions asked to the AI, messages received…), kept for 100 days. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Hosting

Site hosted by Vercel (functions run in Europe, in Paris), which briefly keeps technical logs (including IP addresses) for security. Upstash database located in Frankfurt (European Union).

Transfers outside the European Union

Anthropic, Resend and Vercel are US companies, as is the publisher's email provider. These transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing or ask for it to be restricted, through the contact form. As we keep no identifier that names you, we usually cannot link data to a person (Article 11 of the GDPR). You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority).
